For the most part, this season has been focused around character development, but last night exposed the Kaylon's plan. Hardly wait for part two.
Last night's Orville was excellent...

.....and Scott Grimes sang.......but it was very reminiscent of the Borg episodes......

The Borg for the most part assimilated alien societies. I don't think that is the Kaylon plan....

.....I just meant while watching it.....it reminded me in 'feel' to 'Best of Both Worlds'......but Orville copies a lot........there is always a logical/emotionless character.......Spock.....became Data......who now becomes....Isaac........
.....and the Kaylon are similar to Borg......in that they are cold/logical/advanced and work in a 'collective' hive like way......

I liked it.
I think The Orville is under-rated.

.....the reason people like it so much is the nostalgia factor.....it really is so much like past Trek shows.....even Brannon Braga works on the show.......so in that way it is a good show but IMHO doesn't bring anything new to the table just rehashes older Trek shows....
.....fans miss Trek and there is no show on the free airwaves......Discovery is not like old Trek series and you have to pay to watch it.....

I found it to be an interesting character development for Issac. Quickly taking us where we did not expect to see the arc going. However, my guess, would be a "conflicted Isaac" that is looking for a way to break away form the Kaylon "collective" (if you will). What was that borg's name in STNG? Hue??

Anywhere to find season 1? I haven't been watching any network for a year or three, and I turned in my Tivo
