Ripley is in orbit
#1
The SpaceX crew capsule successfully launched at 2:50 this morning. It is expected to dock at the international space station at 5:50 Sunday morning. the capsule carries a flight dummy named Ripley after Sigourney Weaver's character in Alien.

This is the first flight of a potential US launched crew-capable vehicle since the Space Shuttle retired in 2011

They should have had a live cat onboard too.

They should have had a live cat onboard too. I was thinking the same thing... Why not throw in a canary?

Along with the cat? Things would get VERY interesting in weightlessness.

For our sakes, let's hope this time she doesn't decide to nuke the entire site from orbit.
