I just discovered my freshman roommate owns the Toronto Raptors

Larry Tanenbaum owner of Toronto Raptors. I noticed his name in an article and did a search. He's the same guy who was my freshman dorm roommate. (He was an older rich guy and I was the opposite. He disappeared to a, non-authorized, off-campus apartment and joined a rich-guys fraternity.) Never thought much about him. Heh, who knew?

He is the chairman of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., which is the parent company of the Raptors as well as the National Hockey League’s Toronto Maple Leafs, Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC, and the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts. He also currently serves as the board chairman of the NBA, and as a member of the board of governors of the NHL and Major League Soccer.
Oh, and he's worth about $1.5 billion. Has a lot less hair now.

Two of my HS classmates (a couple years earlier and a couple years later) were kids of this guy. My sister went to school with their sister, who died in a tragic traffic accident. A deeply disturbed family filled with alcoholism and full on insane rich people getting away with literal murder. And various other crimes. Now that the family no longer owns the company, they tend to get arrested more frequently.

How can I mock him? He seemed to be an okay guy and his bio looks like he's a smart hard-working individual. Of all my 'brushes with fame', he may turn out to be in the top 5.

Two of my freshman roommates had new, flashy, MOPAR hot rods, and both dropped out of college after their first quarter.

Two others ended up becoming doctors, one a somewhat prominent medical researcher.

The last swapped girlfriends with a then soon-to-be pron star, and ended up having season tix to the Lakers and Dodgers.

Then there was me; I'm the one that put a dent n the living room ceiling, with my head, to back up a claim that I could jump high enough to do so.
