Grotesque in Chief - Trump photo opp with baby whose parents died protecting were murdered by El Paso shooter
#1
The parents died protecting their little boy. Who then gets to be used as a political prop ?
:barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:
" Little Paul, himself, it was later revealed, had been brought back to the hospital - reportedly at the request of White House staff - having been discharged days earlier.
All eight adult patients who were still at the medical centre refused to meet Mr Trump, the Washington Post reported."

The entire day was a horrible fiasco. Awesome Texan Richard Parker writing in the NY Times this morning:

EL PASO — If consoling the nation in a time of desperate need is a vital and yet simple task of the American presidency, Donald J. Trump failed miserably this week.

From his flight on Wednesday to Dayton, Ohio, to this sprawling high-desert city on the Mexican border, the 45th occupant of the White House not only littered his consolation tour with petty insults — but just to rub salt in the wound, doses of renewed racism. Yet most striking was how alone and outnumbered the president was: rejected, ostracized and told to go home...

Thumbs up!, what a great day this is! How effing tone deaf can a person be?

The family may disagree. They're hispanic and staunch conservatives. I'd be curious to learn if anyone follows up.

Andre's brother:

from NPR wrote:
"And yes, maybe he said things in bad taste. But I think people are misconstruing President Trump's ideas."

Tito Anchondo says his family has always been Republican conservatives. "My brother was very supportive of Trump," he said, adding that he would like to sit down with the president and tell him about their pain.

"I want to see his reaction in person," he said. "I want to see if he's genuine and see if my political views are right or wrong. And see if he feels maybe some kind of remorse for statements that he's made. I just want to have a human-to-human talk with him and see how he feels."

Question:
How does a person think "maybe" Trump has said things in bad taste, and yet wants to know if Trump "is genuine" or further, has remorse?? Talk about severe cognitive dissonance!

So a doctor was interviewed, who indicted he felt Trump displayed little to no empathy during the visit. It's my guess Tito Anchondo likely doesn't have much ability to detect it himself, despite stating he looked for something like it from Trump. Or maybe he was easily sold on what appeared to be empathy and that's good enough.

It's interesting that upon hearing someone have a different point of view you assume they are unintelligent and apathetic. This is a person under extreme stress, in the public eye. Who said very little and we don't know anything about him. Why make that assumption?

Eh, the parents were trump supporters and their extended family are trump supporters - one would assume they're the kids new parents.

I'm sure they have it worked out how this is all the fault of democrats and Trump is just trying to do the right thing.

I hate it when people stereotype me like that, without even knowing me.
