Best value used iPad for dad?
#1
I've been tasked with buying a used iPad for my father. Just uses it for email and lyft, maybe very occasional surfing. Needs to happen in the next few days or so.

What's the best value model here? Sure don't need an iPad Pro. I'm guessing a Mini would be too small.

Thanks!

used Apple iPad Air $165
16GB Silver
MD794J/A (WiFi/Cellular)

I bought two of these on separate occasions. One for TheMominatrix and one for TheTominatrix. Both have performed with no issues (aside from them performing to the specs of the older model).

Depends what he can hold. Mrs. cbelt3's hands were not strong enough, so we got her a Mini 1 and eventually a Mini 4. You also mentioned Lyft, which implies you need a cellular model ?

Wouldnt he use his phone for lyft? seem like an iPad in the car would be cumbersome. Also requires an addtional $10 month in cell fees.... maybes just use the phone as a hotspot when lytfing?

So you need an iPad with cellular, lowest I’d go with is an Air with 64GB.
My daughters iPad Air 2 64GB still zips along.
What’s the budget?

I found that mine always ran out of room unless I had at least 64gb.
