iPadOS...Why?
#1
Aside from making everything smaller, what’s the difference? I haven’t found anything meaningfully different. Does it allow multiple users to access the iPad with separate profiles? That’s really the only thing I’m looking forward to on the iPad.

Part of an initiative to make the iPad more computer-replacement for some users. Multi-window, keyboard/mouse, etc. Paired with a keyboard case, it makes for a good basic platform.

A quick google of "Why iPadOS?" will yield dozens of articles, but here's a good one that touches on the basics: https://www.fixapplenow.com/why-ipados-rocks/

I dig the new screen in landscape mode. I'm excited to try mouse and keyboard support at some point. Split window seems like it would be useful if I had something bigger than the mini. I think this is a good first step to split the ipads os away from ios and start making it it's own thing. I've been pretty happy with the beta.

It's important for growth of the iPad as a platform.

Aside from making everything smaller

You know that can be changed, right?

Because you don't need a computer, you need an iPad. :turbo: Screw Apple.

Yes. I actually think it’s an improvement though. My point was it was the only discernible change. I’ve since learned that instead of shaking my whole iPad vigorously to u do something I can just double triple tap on the screen.

OK, put down the Etch-A-Sketch and back away slowly...
