Anyone using a headset for both laptop and iPhone?
#1
In the market for a new dual ear headset that can work both for my desktop set up (for zoom conference calls, screenshare trainings, listening to music, watching videos), as well as talking on my iPhone.

Anyone using such a headset creature that they like?

I don't want earpods. I prefer over the head or behind the head headsets.

Last I looked, Sennheiser and Denon had such beasts.

Plantronics Savi . Bluetooth to iPhone, traditional phone handset lifter, and computer voice dictation via USB hard wired mic connection, Works flawless.

Jamie brings up a good point, is wireless a mandatory feature? You can add a BT receiver to some wired headsets but I don't know if the control functions will transmit properly.

Plantronics has a history of making great products for office use but I have never seen one of their models in a competition with a true audiophile product.

Don't mind wired at all. It's really only when I'm sitting my 12 hours a day in front of my work, and wanting the ability to quickly switch from Mac Pro to iPhone. Currently, I have two separate wired headsets for this task. It'd be really nice to just have one.

Spent hours on this. I'm going to try these cheapo guys. Comes with a detachable 3.5mm to USB adaptor, so I'll see if that works between iPhone and Mac desktop, instead of switching via BlueTooth.

thanks for all ideas.

I have the Bose Q35’s and really like them. Switching between devices is as easy as the AirPods. Sound is excellent as is noise cancelling. Has a microphone and can be used wired or via Bluetooth.

davemachine, how is the microphone sound to those listening when you answer from your iPhone. (or from zoom or skype on your Mac, if you use those).

thanks for posting about the q35s.

I have not had any complaints from people when I make phone calls while wearing the Bose headphones. I do find odd sound for me though. So I only have one side over an ear while making a call if that makes sense. I suppose I could call you sometime if you want to hear what it sounds like.
