Photomechanic price break for the month of April
#1
Not the deal of the century, so this is probably only of interest if you want or need Photomechanic already:

Through the end of the month, the v5 > v6 upgrade is $49 ($40 off), and the full license is $124 ($15 off).

I was in no hurry to upgrade at the $89 price, but since v5 isn't 64bit, its days are numbered. $49 I can stomach.

Photomechanic is a great and straightforward way to view, sort, and launch into photoshop from.

When I looked it over, I was concerned about the learning curve.

Any PhotoMechanic users who can share their process?

Tia

Stay well.

Doesn't it do essentially the same thing as FastRawViewer does? Only a lot more expensive?

https://www.fastrawviewer.com

And why only $15 off of the full version? Most companies would sale price a full version product at least the upgrade price, if not more, in order to entice new customers or switchers of other similar applications.

Maybe. Not really. PhotoMechanic is, and has always been, the king of fast image browsers. For that purpose (quickly editing, selecting and captioning photos), it is unmatched.

If you don't shoot a bunch of images on deadline then you probably don't need it.
