move clothes washer for service

Clothes washer has sprung a leak. Research says it is likely the water inlet valve which is under electronic control. It's 18yo with OEM parts, no other service.
To change the valve, I have to access rear panel screws with perhaps an inch gap to the wall (I knew I shouldn't have listened to my spouse about placement, but alas...). The beast weighs 250 lbs.

Any thought on how to lever it forward a bit without major gouging or other damage top the beast? The floor under is hardwood, so as long as I don't crack it, I'm fine.
I have a stubby screwdriver (yea, heh, heh, heh) but I need another inch or so to access.

I've successfully moved appliances around with the carpet/rug method.

Get a piece of carpet or old rug big enough to fit all the legs of the appliance on. Have someone tilt it while the other person shoves the carpet under(fuzzy side down), then tilt the other way until you get the carpet under all feet, then slide away.

Can you get furniture-slides under the feet?

...Those plastic discs that let furniture slide easily over carpet. Should help a bit with a wood floor as well.

I only have access to front feet, but that may be enough. I'll give it a go.

Underpayment plywood is my go to for appliance moves. Pop the ply under the front feet While tilted back and push until it hits the back feet. Then tilt forward and slide on front feet until it’s out and on the plywood. Then slide away !

Furniture slides work as well. Good luck ! And remember to drain and clean fully once you have it opened up.

They have disks (that Sarcany mentions) with felt on the bottom specifically for sliding on hard floors.

rgG - that's the ticket! I can't budge the fkr myself.
Hand-truck should give me enough leverage to carpet or disk it.
Just see if a masked neighbor will risk the adventure.
Into the shed I go.
