Mac Mini 2014 to Mac Mini 2020 = LOVE
#1
OLD:
Mac Mini 2014 w/8GB RAM, HDD, Mojave

NEW:
Mac Mini 2020 w/32GB RAM, SSD, Catalina (up to date 10.15.5)

MIND BLOWN from the speed of normal everyday tasks.

Browsers open with "1 bounce". Graphics heavy sites open in 1 second. I can scroll back 10 years in Photos on the fly with the sidebar and double click a photo and it opens instantaneously. It's such a pleasure to use. LOVE it!

The one #@*&% moment was swapping out the monitor cable on the Dell. The Dell product designer who thought it would be sleek to label the back ports with tiny engraved black lettering on a black plastic case should be pelted with potatoes.

I never understood black lettering on a black background as a way to convey information.

Put in a $12 adapter and an nvme ssd and that 2014 mini is a whole ‘nother beast.

I've had three Dells with the same legend visibility problem.

I learned to take an image of the labeled port from the User Manual and store in on every box connected to a Dell monitor.
