At the opening bell TSLA jumped from 1545ish to around 1760. I only have 4 shares...but that's almost a 1/8th of my Cybertruck paid for with 4 shares of Tesla stock...

I'm strongly thinking of selling. This is crazy.

For sure it will eventually pull back to $1K-$1.5K, just how high it’ll go before doing so is anybody’s guess. I’m not selling anytime soon.

When/If that happens, Tesla will be on the purchase list of many funds that otherwise have not been purchasing it. That is likely to push it higher. The second thing is the pending battery Day on Sept. 22nd. That has generated speculation of a major advancement. I believe we are seeing the combination of speculation of both things occurring. I'm letting my 20 shares ride for the time being, but keeping a close eye on it.

What's driving TSLA pricing? Car quality/reliability reviews aren't too good.

....it said that price drop for Y model......and increase production.......is upping the stock.....

I was under the impression that Tesla was simply caught up in the overall enthusiasm for EV’s in general. If Tesla stock price is doing better than the other EV makers, then it’s probably due to the recent delivery report, upcoming earnings report, and battery day.
I would also caution against thinking that Teslas are low quality cars. Nothing could be further from the truth. There may be minor fit and finish issues, but by far owners are very happy with them. I think all of its pluses or advantages compared to other cars, more than make up for the minor gripes for Tesla owners. These are my impressions from driving Teslas, as well as everyone I know that owns a Tesla. |
