Where it will come pre-installed.

I'll install it on my 2018 mini/Catalina, and maybe my 12' 2015 MB/High Sierra (if eligible).

They already have AFPS drives, but I won't move any more from HFS+ unless and until DiskWarrior can work on AFPS drives.

You can add an AFPS container to your boot drive to install Big Sur on. This assumes that your boot drive has enough free space available.
