I may have 2x2GB from a 2012 Mini... not sure if I can find them after I moved. PM tonight

Whatcha got in there?
I'm in the same camp as the MRF's space-man... got a 2 X 2GB set in the drawer; not sure how much help that's likely to be? LMK. ==

Thing is I've had a 2011, 12.1, 2.7gz Intel i5 for years. One of my doctors (I have more docs than I care to talk about) was cleaning out his garage and came across what he described as a new in the box 27" 2011 that had sat for years.
Knowing I was into Macs he offered it to me - turned out it wasn't new but a refurb still wrapped in the plastic bubble. Came loaded with Yosemite so it's been sitting no more than 3-4 years also came with 4 gigs RAM- who in there right mind makes a unit like this with only 4 gigs? Upgraded mine from 4 to 16 years ago and should have the original 4x2 somewhere but I'll be darned if I know where. The new/old acquisition is destined for the grandson so I'm thinking if I can located 4x8 I can then set both units at 24 and we'll all be happy - well until a video card craps out.

I am about to upgrade a non-retina MacBook Pro 2012 from 8 GB (2x4) to 16 GB. Don't know if that Ram will down clock and be usable in a 2011 iMac.
