I hope that I'm wrong, but I expect that the entire purpose for his "defiance" of 45 the last couple of weeks was to secure his political future for a run at the presidency in 4 or 8 years.

His wife is a never-Trumper.

I just want to recognize someone who actually responded positively during a crisis. He deserved our thanks, we would be in a far worse mess if he had not called in the National Guard on Jan 6.

I'll give him credit for showing up and showing a little class. But I was less than impressed when the audience was panned at one point during Joe's speech and Pence was the only one seen on camera not applauding. To his credit, he did at the end of the speech, though.
