Hmmm. Myrtle variety? She seems very light colored for that species.
And I'm not exactly in the North... but she did look very plump and well-fed.
I get some very interesting birds in my area (I posted about mourning doves and a mockingbird awhile back) and have thought of putting up a feeder and spare cam.

Sweet photos.
I agree, looks like a juvenile, first winter, female Myrtle Yellow-rumped Warbler. On page 436 of your Sibley Guide to Birds, 2000 ed.
Its Audubon bird count weekend. Who's in?

Yeah, a Myrtle. She could have her feathers plumped up against the cold, giving her the look being well fed.
These guys are fairly common and go up to the Tundra and Alaska for the Summer but their Winter range can be as far north as Virginia in the east (Myrtles).
All I have to count for Audubon here, in SE lower MI, are the usual suspects. Nothing migrating thru here yet...

I bet there's a lovely song to accompany that plump golden-trimmed body! Keep listening....
