Apple updates Map app with crowd sourced reporting
#1
In the latest iOS beta, users can now report accidents, hazards, speed traps, etc. Glad they're doing this. I stopped using Waze for several reasons, but missed the alert feature.

I was never comfortable with Waze and Apple's Maps was constantly wrong with routes so I have always stuck with Google maps. Have to give it another look.

Apple Maps has gotten better, but the features of WAZE were far too useful to ignore.

I agree though using Siri to report traffic issues is a big plus. I rarely report problems when using waze as it would mean taking my eyes off the road.

I hope there's a toggle for crowd sourcing input.

I was once on a stretch of interstate and the state trooper figured out how to game the system. He'd reported himself every 100m on the length of highway he was to patrol. It effectively made him a needle in a needlestack.

I figure Apple will not rely on a single report…

I never figured how to tell WAZE about something I saw while driving. Could do it when I was a passenger, of course, but not while driving.

I had no idea that you could report via SIRI.
