Credit Karma does a pretty good job and it seems to match up with what credit card companies provide. Signup and use is free.

Credit Karma and many banks have it available as well and/or FICO.

Credit Karma will blast your inbox with thousands of spam messages and sell any info they can harvest from you to all comers. Other sites will enroll you in a monthly plan and bill you a small fortune and will STILL sell all of the info they can harvest from you to other companies.
Often, you can log into the website for your credit card or bank and see your credit score for free without subjecting yourself to that sort of abuse. Check those resources first.

Most of my credit cards have followed Discover's lead and will show you your FICO score and history over the past year or so.
Does she have a credit card where the account is under her name?

Never seen one spam message from CK.... and I used a junk email account...
Also agree with checking your bank. My banks mobile app has a "My Credit Score" button... takes about 3 seconds to give me a number. I cant vouch for its accuracy, its showing my score 30 points more than CK.

They sell your info to everyone else in creation and tell them you're looking to make expensive purchases (because why else would you be checking your credit score) and facilitate the spam. If you're not seeing the spam, you've just got a good spam filter.
