And FWIW, also a nice guy who keeps hyper busy. Apart from the top 2 editors, he was the only person who wore a suit to work everyday, as I recall. During the early round of layoffs 10+ years ago he sometimes provided retiring reporters with a sketched caricature. Had the only office (with door) besides the Opinions Editor in that dept and yeah it always looked like a hurricane inside with papers and sketches strewn everywhere.
