Would you "allow" a family member to attend an Expo right now?

We are a family of four adults, all fully vaccinated, but I have scarred lungs from a medical condition. Our daughter wants to attend the Oddities and Curiosities Expo in Richmond next weekend. Face masks are recommended but not required. COVID guidelines
She asked me if it's okay if she goes or not. What do you think?

No!

And cut her out of your life just to be sure!

Does she live with you?

if so, then no.
if not, then she can quarantine for 14 days if she goes.

I personally wouldn't go, but the risks of a masked, vaccinated person catch it are lower than the risk of driving there.

Have you talked to your doctor about your covid risk level considering your lungs?

Not yet.

Like the others, I would say "no", EXCEPT if she's willing to wear an N95 the whole time she's there.

No way. It's not that important.

Also no.

I'd suggest that an "Oddities and Curiosities Expo" does not cross a threshold of importance-for-the-risk.

With an N95, probably yes. Not too much difference than getting on an airplane, I'd say, and maybe less risk.

I'm sure many will not be masked up, so stay away from those folks.
