Nosey Friday ! Health Poll: Flu Shot after-effects ?
#1
Because both Mrs. cbelt3 and I were mighty sore and low grade ill for several days afterwards. Still better than getting full on influenza though.

Official information here from the hard working scientists at the CDC:

Ed: NOT Thursday, thanks all... because I have no idea what day it is. Work from home, all days seem to be the same. Or long haul COVID. Or just dropping myself on my head. Or just a senior moment.:oldfogey:

I'd never had any reaction to a flu vaccine before this year.

Sore arm and felt bad for 2 days. But yes, much easier than influenza!

Zero, also.

None whatsoever. The needle seemed longer this year and the process of injection slower.

cbelt3,

My horrifying answer is that neither my wife nor I had any adverse reaction to our flu shots this year. She usually has a sore arm for a couple of days. I rarely notice any adverse reaction.

I think most sore arms are from tensing up and anticipating the poke. Relax and think about taking a nap or something similar.

I got the flu shot and Covid booster at the same time in the same arm so I can't isolate that flu shot effects vs the Covid shot effects. My arm hurt like hell for a couple of days and I felt fatigued for a day or so.

Very slightly sore arm for the remainder of the day, nothing else.
