but with 90% hardwood floors how do cats always find the yoga Matt on the carpet to blow a hairball?

is it their (his) way of telling me, don't stay up til 2a watching TV coz I'm gonna be up at 7a hungry and ready drop a steamer?

It’s weird… we moved from a house that was about 50% carpeted to a house that’s like 99% hardwood and tile, and I’ve noticed our cats hardly ever have hair balls anymore. Our living room carpet had to be replaced before we moved. They ralphed on it the most. Now, I see maybe one fur ball a month whereas before it was a couple a week.
