Speaking of beards...
#1
Rolando's thread on the other side re: Biden w/ a beard?

...prompted this beard thought: How do you keep your beard moisturized for an entire day? Mrs. Buzz went on a road trip to Tahoe in October, and suggested I grow a full beard for the first time in about 30 years. So now I've got about a four month beard that needs to be moisturized four times a day. Beard products only last a few hours, then it's begging for another application. Goal is to give the beard another couple of months growth, but I'm already an honorary member of ZZTop, w/ a bit of Ted Kaczynski thrown in. I've never let it get this long in decades, and now I'm realizing why. The occasional two months stint has been about it. Anybody got any all-day product tips that'll tame the mandible mane?
Thanks.

Never heard about moisturizing a beard. I learn something new every day.

But I do know from first hand, be careful when eating soup!!

I've had a medium beard for 45 years and never even once thought about moisturizing it.

ve also have never heard of beard moisturizer or considered it. feels fine?

mine looks similar to the biden beard, even if let it grow for months... never gets more than an inch tho... I'm not a fan of big bro beards myself, but since I don't have to worry about it... meh.

My beard's been with me for 50 years and although it did resist colorization has yet to request moisturization.

I use hair conditioner in the shower. Then apply some Cremo moisturizer after towel dry. Woman who cuts my hair suggested putting conditioner in before bed and leaving it in.

Do not moisturize. Your interventions may be why your skin hasn't acclimated to it yet (usually takes about 2 weeks for the itching from a new beard to fade away completely).

Condition it in the shower when you condition the hair on top.

Do not sleep with conditioner left in.

I've been keeping a short beard for about 10 years now. I will use moisturizer on occasion. I've used beard oil on occasion as well.

Informative thread. My first retirement hobby has been growing a beard, never had one before, and am still not sure about it.
