Google Workspace question

I have three or four of the free G Suite/Google Workspace accounts. Several of them are for initiatives I'm no longer a part of. I went to change the domain on one of them so I could use it for a personal account, but it won't let me change the domain.

I've searched and it looks like changing the domain on a free account is not possible. Has anyone figured out a way around that?

I think so, but that doesn't help a whole lot. I want to be able to reply to emails and have the calendar work.
