Anyone have any experience with them? Looking to upgrade the memory on my G5 iMac and they have a decent deal on 1GB of memory.

I've bought from them before with no problems.

I have bought from them and they are OK. They say "free shipping" but when I ordered the wrong ram and had to make a return, they charged me a fee of $6 or $7 and said it was to cover the shipping, which I thought was lame. I don't like their attitude on the phone. Much prefer newegg.com.

I have never bought from them, but almost did. I did not have doing research on various Mac sites. They seem to mixed comments which gave me pause so I just moved on.

My memory from Dealmac days that there were fairly regular threads discussion the merits of 1800memory (I am guessing that is the same place, and they operated under several names). So you might want to search back over there if you are really interested. People had mixed experiences, and there were definitely reports of some significant problems. It is a weakness of this forum that this history and experience of various online venders is not better remembered and monitored.
Obviously, OWC sells ram, and that is where I buy my ram even if it costs a bit more. I had to send a chip back under the warranty last fall, after I had used it for over a year. So ram can have hidden hard to find or notice problems that can crop up later down the road (I think the upgrade to 10.4.8 knocked out my ram chip for some reason).
Datamem is also highly regarded.

Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated. I went ahead and bit the bullet before I read Chupa and michaelb's comments. Hope I don't regret it.
Got tired of the spinning beach ball. Missed my chance when prices were in the $70 range and regretted not buying then and when I saw that the price had finally come back below $100, well......

I bought iMac memory from them around Christmas for a family member's iMac G5. It had been specifically recommended by them for the iMac G5 and was labeled the same as the stick which was in there.
It took a very long time to figure out, but it didn't work. The machine booted but would crash unpredictably.
In frustration I took the machine in to an Apple dealer who installed Kingston RAM and all was well. I was by that time happy to pay the buckage.
18004Memory took the stick back, less shipping I guess, without any argument.
So, you pays less moneys with 18004Memory but you takes more chances. I concluded that iMacs are really fussy about memory and would not seek a low price the next time I upgrade one.

I think this was THE most asked question of all time on dealmac...

I purchased from them and had the 1GB stick replaced under warranty without a single hitch (turns out it wasn't even the ram, it was the iMac).
