how did valentines day go?
#1
I sent a dozen roses to my wife along with a singing balloon. I also got her a tivoli radio, http://www.amazon.com/Tivoli-Audio-M1CLA...B00006I5WK .

We didn't go out to dinner, we got take out and ate with the kids. I'd prefer a romantic night out but hey, it doesn't always work out that way.

So, what did you do?

Went ok, didn't have to spend a dime. Helps when you can take fancy pics of someone else's flowers ;-)

2 tests tomorrow that my grades depend on.

Got her a car charger for her iPod from the Pasadena Apple Store, then we had a take-out dinner on the family sofa watching Medium with our little doggie. It was wonderfully cozy.

Bought a dozen irises (our favorite flowers) and I cooked dinner: prosciutto-wrapped roasted salmon fillets, black lentils with spinach and fresh herbs, and chocolate fondue with a shot of cabernet! I might be expected to cook that well every night from now on...

I got my wife some good candy and a volcano plant. I felt bad when I heard on the radio the ave. guy spends $154.00. She said she would have kicked my azz if I had spent that much, so I'm ok. We're going out for Thai with the squidren tomorrow (miss the rush). They're our valentines too! kj.

Well, my plan for an indoor picnic flopped. Our favorite bar-b-q joint apparently decided to close due to the weather. So I picked up Boston Market and we watched House and went to bed early. Made things easier this morning when we woke up to no hot water Smile

I blew it. So much work craziness over the past month (75 hours/week) that I just didn't get myself together. Still trying to think of something that gets me out of the doghouse on the relative cheap while not overdoing it since her birthday is just three weeks away....

Any woman that doesn't realize your situation and EXPECTS that you'll do "something traditional" for this silly "holiday", and puts you in the doghouse when you don't, isn't a real woman.

Sorry, but that's the truth.
