I never understand why people bash Real. It works well, it is free and it works on the Mac. It is a much better alternative than WMV.

Something else to download and install. Bah, downloading right now. 10.6 MB Download.
Then shutdown browsers, install real player and plug ins and restart browsers. And maybe restart computer.
Whoppppppyy. Its the inconvenience of it.

I wouldn't download another plugin so I could see it via the link (just stubborn at this moment), but I think I just saw the tape on the CBS Evening News. Did the FedEx truck hit a red car and shove it toward the car in which the video camera was mounted? Ohio? I see the link is from a Cincy station (where the current temp is 12.) All I heard was Ohio on the news.

There are much better video formats out there. Real typically comes loaded with spam and ads anyway.

?????

Are we talking about the same real player I'm using? There is no spam, no ads.

Under OS 8/9 Real was problematic, but under OS X it is solid,in fact, it is a good program.

And if I may say so, it streams better than QT.

Once again, I don't understand the prejudice against a program that works well on the Mac. At least those who use Real, make their content available to Mac users, unlike the newest version of WMP which doesn't work on the Mac since Microsoft abandoned us.
