Ten dollars in your pocket with these would make it hard to walk ! AND my bank will only give 1 roll per person and said they would probably get no more...Doesn't make sense....
Right there they become unusable because they are collector's items at that rate.

What bugs me about the dollar coins is that I WANT to use them... but the &*#@ bank never HAS ANY!
For a long while, I would go deposit my paycheck, and get some cash back, and always try to get a few dollar coins... half the time, they didn't have ANY.. other times they had to go to a different drawer to find one or two. I don't think they ever had more than 5.
If they REALLY want the dollar coin to start replacing the dollar BILL..
They better shorten up the supply of bills, and make MORE of the coins!

Get a better bank, got five rolls from my CU, and they asked me if I wanted more.

Yeah.. but today is the second day of issue...
On the Sacagawea dollars first few days, I could have gotten a dozen rolls of THEM too.
Wait a couple weeks, and go in and ask for 5-10 coins..
I'll bet you one of them that they have to scrounge the drawers to come up with enough, if they even can.
I haven't seen one of these new ones yet...

I don't like that they are stiil about the size of a quarter. They should be larger so that it is easier to tell them apart. People won't start really using them unless they pull the paper dollar bill completely and I just don't see that happening anytime soon.

I always got dollar coins when I bought stamps from the PO vending machine.
I never liked 'em much; mostly used them for tolls.
Now that I rarely mail anything, though, I haven't seen any in a while.

No way they will replace paper.
The weight of one roll is more than $10,000 in $100's.

So the GOLD color of the last issue of dollar coins didn't tip you off that it wasn't a quarter?
That was kinda what I liked best about 'em actually...
