Reminds me of the new Altima Coupe. I hope it DOES make it here as a Saturn.

And, that would be a great front end to the next Accord Coupe, since the shape of the bumper and how it goes up around the grill and down on the bottom almost looks like the Honda H logo/insignia.
Here is the Altima Coupe
and 2008 Honda Accord Coupe Concept

Geez. How many different cuts does that car need? It looks like a random pile of scoops and slots. Oh, and let's surround a few of them with chrome trim. Fugly.
It looks like the result of a committee design where everyone got to add something... and they were all pissed off at each other.
"Oh Oh! There's still a place over HERE where we can add a hole."
It's a design direction that is the automotive equivalent of clown shoes. Implants for Automobiles.
The fact that it looks like an Accord... that's an indictment. Not because Accords are specifically ugly... Where's the originality? Where is the sense that shape and proportion should carry the design, not gizmos?
I think auto designers are just running out of ideas.

My very first car was a '67 Opel Kadette that my parents bought from a neighbor when
my oldest sister was in college and I eventually inherited when I was 16
It had a mighty 1.1L engine and a 4 speed and I spent more time looking for parts
than driving it I think. It finally died when the drive shaft broke and there wasn't
a junk yard in all of North America that had one.
I have to go drink heavily now to get the memory out of my head

Too bad laf, I had a '69 or '70 Opel Kadett Station wagon and it was great (bought new with my father's help). Held all my stuff, took my wife and I across country twice. Had to have a ring job once but that's because I was careless about oil changes. Sold it at 100k to a kid who was amazed it still had a working, and very good, AM-FM radio.
