I'm trying to figure out which company to go with. Looking at lots of comparisons, but very confusing . . .
Sunrocket seems to have the best prices, but people say "you get what you pay for". Also looking at other companies.
Any recommendations? Links to other threads I'm not finding?
Thanks muchly . . .

I'm a very happy Sunrocket customer from last July; finally, a couple of months ago, I decided to cut the cord (so to speak) and port my AT&T landline number over to Sunrocket and go all-VOIP.
The porting went very smoothly and timely, and I'm very happy.
I've had a couple of interactions with their customer service, and it's come out very well. They like to do things via email--I believe they're in India--but they're responsive.

another satisfied sunrocket customer.
what do you have for an internet connection?
get the VoIP line and work out the kinks. then get rid of the landline when you're comfortable.
do you have any idea how good it feels not to have a monthly phone bill?

That's why I'm looking. I got slammed by my current land line company. I'm done with them.
I have Earthlink cable, so I just need to set this up.
Thanks for the support . . .

I just got a new SunRocket Promo for $200 a year...about $17 a month and they give you some cool phones to boot. Call anywhere, anytime, in the USA no limits, just use your broadband connection. I'm going to try it out and see how it works, and if I still like it after 6 months I'll say good-bye to Verizon and Quest, our long distance carrier. We have a killer deal with Quest though, less than 3 cents a minute for LDistance ($02.9 cents to be exact) so out LDistance bill is never much of anything.
It's the local bill that kills us. GeeZus! Verizon charges us about $45 a month just for basic service, no frills to speak of except the normal call waiting, forwarding, etc. And they suck to boot. I can't wait to try SunRocket.

Another vote for voicepulse ... I've been with them a year, the only issue I had was when my former roommate maxed out our bandwidth downloading his pr0n. No more roommate, no more problem.
