I still don't get why everyone is not alarmed by this.

More than half the US population is female. Don't they care about their health?

It's too much going on to stop and keep track of the ramifications of every atrocity that's being perpetrated. Whatever they wreck, they're paving it over with fresh asphalt to obliterate the criminal evidence.

Everyone is overwhelmed and don't know what to do that will actually be effective.

That's really stupid. It has a cheap price tag and has provided incredibly important information. And would continue to do so.

They've published almost 2500 studies out of the WHI: https://www.whi.org/papers

One of the early and important set of studies had to do with Hormone Replacement Therapy in post-menopausal women. They started publishing the outcomes in the early 2000's. Those studies changed the way that many GYN's practiced. Here's a later review that integrates the 2 hormone trials. It's an interesting read: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3963523/

Yes, thank you Michael for that info.

It is an incredibly stupid, short-sighted, costly, and of course misogynistic move.

We hope a new administration will fully restore funding, but time and resources lost will cost lives and good health.

Interrupting the collection of data is hard to remedy, even if there will someday be a return of the program. I am going to guess that this is one of those (many) cuts which can get restored provided there is sufficient public outcry.

The new gender ideology:

Anything relating to gender is against policy.
Research about women is de facto about gender.
Research about men is de facto not about gender.
Therefore everything known about men should apply equally to women.

Therefore, if Trump wants more babies, he should make the men have the babies.

Wait, what?

It's that ludicrous.

But I think they assume they know everything about women and babies, and really what else is there for us?

From time immemorial it has been understood that women are just “clones” of men, but dumber and produce children. There is no difference between how a woman responds to infection, immunity, etc and a man. After all, women aren’t the interesting one to study.

This bullshiite has been taught forever and is deeply ingrained, all a part of the misogyny. Such studies as being discussed here are definitively showing that the bullshiite line is WRONG and the assumptions made on it are also WRONG. Some people won’t admit just how wrong they are.
