Don't worry, it's only a flesh wound - dropped my iPad today

Neuropathy and osteoarthritis in my hands is getting a bit costly. Any suggestions on where I might get a new one on sale before tariffs jack up prices?

Is that the Apple case? It looks a lot like mine. Apparently, it couldn't save the day.

LOL, no not the Apple case. It fell open, screen hit the edge of a metal pail and that was all she wrote.

No I it’s a 2018 iPad. I let AppleCare go a few years ago. It’s working, I’m writing this on it but the glass screen is totally shot and pieces of the black bezel are missing.

I just grabbed a 128GB 2025 iPad on Amazon for $299. It will be delivered today. That looked to be the lowest price when I searched.

I did nearly the same thing with mine. Fortunately it was under Apple Care; it took about a week or so but they replaced it with one the exact same specs.

I keep AppleCare on my Mac Pro but my iPad was bogging down and starting to become a little annoying when browsing certain websites so I was starting to think about replacing it. Just sorry I dropped it as I would have donated it when it got replaced.

$299 is a nice price... paid $279 -- which was also a great price, 4+ years ago for a "base" iPad, (old design) pretty sure it only had 32 GB of storage.

I agree, I saw Amazon's price a week or so ago and thought about grabbing one. I paid $379 for the one I just dropped back in November of 2018.
