"National Association of Home Builders, builders and architects predicted that more than 60 percent of custom houses would have dual master bedrooms by 2015"

I keep thinking I want my THIRD home office to be in my bedroom, but I'm sure I would be killed in my sleep by my wife.

In a totally unrelated note, tall trellises capable of supporting human weight are the latest bedroom window addition in custom houses.

Where are we going and why are we all in this handbasket?

Because we take marketing pieces like this as real news?

My wife snores terribly and I've begged to move into the guest room, but my wife feels it just isn't "right'. I'm glad to see we're moving toward a more enlightened future!

I say let's skip the dual bedrooms and go straight to THREE.
Why?
two (one for each person) sleep rooms - just beds/no windows for SLEEPING.
One room for marital bliss.

Wife and I have used separate bedrooms for several years now and sleep so much better due to snoring, shifting, one reads or watches TV later etc. This process is a marital aid. Don't know who said it is MAGIC to sleep fitfully through the night just to be in the same bed?
Ten years ago I learned my sister and brother-in-law had seperate bedrooms and I thought there must be something wrong with their marriage. Now that we do the same, I understand. Has nothing to do with the quality of the marriage AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH SLEEP QUALITY.

We bought a Cal King size bed last year. It's like having two separate bedrooms, since it is so wide I sometimes have trouble finding her in it.

My grandparents slept in separate beds in the same bedroom. I remember noticing this when I was just a little kid.
