Hey OWCLarry, how about an update?

Larry,

How about just a quick post with an update of what happened, what is happening with the forums, and your best guess if it is correctable?

If there's anything we can do to help, you have a few hundred folks who can do more than kibitz.

Sure, a quick summary could help clarify things for everyone. Here's a brief update: the forums experienced a significant technical issue that led to data loss or inaccessibility. Currently, efforts are underway to assess the damage, restore backups, and determine whether the full platform can be recovered. The situation is still evolving, but the team is working to provide a clearer timeline soon. Stay tuned.

The old forums were pretty broke. For some reason they would come back as read only some times and the dates were wrong. These forums hadnt been developed is years so it was time to move to a platform that is atleast somewhat being maintained.

The login problem is the conversion imported users but not password hashes and didnt import permissions. We've populated permissions to most of the 8k users but seems it didnt populate the complete list. As this time we've been going thru and giving permission if it is requested in PM. Otherwise crating a new account will give you access as well.
