I'm in!
#1
Don't know what was going on, but once I reset my password and tried to log in I was put into some sort of restricted access mode where I couldn't see anything.

Waited 15 minutes and now I am in and can even post, although I'll admit it took me a second to find the new topic button. (why is it at the bottom?)

I was in and online without having to do anything, but I couldn't post because it said my account wasn't activated. I don't know if everyone had to activate or not, but I was one of the half dozen or so who registered a few weeks ago when this iteration of the forum was up briefly. Anyway, as soon as I requested the activation email to be resent (it was never sent the first time) and got the code I was good to go.

I had to re-register under a slightly different name to be able to get out of the activation loop
Ill try the old name later and see it it has cleared

Reset the password and got the "you do not have permission to access this page" error.

Clearing the site cookies seemed to do the trick, though.

I’ll have to try that later and see if it fixes it for me.
Thx!

Clearing browser COOKIES for macresource.com was the critical missing step that allowed me to get out of the limbo mode.

Thank you SDGuy for discovering that and passing it along.

Me, too.  The page doesn’t resize to fit Safari on my iPad but otherwise it works.

I didn't have to do anything special except password reset.
