For your reading pleasure, here is a pdf of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" that the Senate passed, all 940 pages.

Murkowski caved.
That was all that was needed to let it pass. The compromise could be tricky as it passed both chambers with no votes to spare, and any changes to the original language could cause further issues. This is far from over, and the fun is just starting.

Passage was never in doubt. It was just a question of how much crap was going to be in it.

Murky, you're a lying thieving see you next Tuesday traitor to your office, country and flag. May you be swallowed up by roosky bot snot & vomit. No one ever liked you. Your yearbook photo probably has "least likely to remain human after elected." Should you or any member of your party be caught or voted out by polar bears, the bears will disavow any knowledge of your existence. Thanks for going down on history.

from todays NY Whines:
"I struggled mightily with the impact on the most vulnerable in this country when you look to the Medicaid and the SNAP provisions,” she said. “We do not have a perfect bill by any stretch of the imagination,” she added. “My hope is that the House is going to look at this and recognize that we’re not there yet.” Senator Chuck Schumer, said Republicans had backed a bill that they knew was problematic because they were afraid of Mr. Trump. And he singled out Ms. Murkowski for derision without naming her, quoting a comment she made in April at a conference in Anchorage, about how G.O.P. lawmakers fear crossing Mr. Trump. “They voted in obeisance to Donald Trump and his billionaire buddies,” Mr. Schumer said. “Because, as one of the senators said, ‘We are all afraid.’” "It's a fine until someone puts an eye out", as my mum used to say.

"We are all afraid."
They're much more afraid of physical harm to them and their families from nutwhack MAGA people than they are about being primaried. That's what I don't understand. They're in Congress. They write the laws and hold the power of the federal purse. So why don't they legislate security for them and their families (for anyone in Congress who requests it) at taxpayer expense? |
