Why is the iTunes Store always slow...
#1
I've bought a total of 10 songs off of there and every time I go there I almost would be quicker to pickup the CD at Target. Today I have about 10 songs I'm helping my wife find and same thing, slow as hell.

Are there better times to access the iTunes music store? Or is this the norm?

I think it's just you. I've never experienced any slowness at all.

Do you mean it is slow to search for the songs you want or it is slow to download them?

Slow to do anything. Even access the main page in iTunes. However, sometimes it pops right up. Other times it hangs.

No slowness here. Is your web surfing slow? When you download non-iTunes stuff is that slow?

Which ISP do you use?

Podcasts download pretty quick and everything else is quick.

I've infrequently experienced slow access to the iTS, but otherwise, it's been fine.

It comes and goes. Try to remember that it's an incredibly popular "web site," and compare it to other graphics-heavy, incredibly popular web sites.

You want slow, try going there on dial-up, like I have to do.

Downloads, particularly with podcasts, are very slow for me. Not only are they slow but they are very unstable. Podcast downloads cut out continually before they are finished. It's very frustrating and I haven't found anybody with similar problems.

I live in Canada and Shaw is my ISP (I have no idea if that means anything) I'm using the Windows version of iTunes and have had the same problems on two completely different computers. My internet in general works great and I'm using windows firewall.

Anybody got any ideas?
