Epson R200 printing wrong colors since replacing ink with Supermediastore's compatible ink
#1
I bought compatible ink jet cartridges for the first time from Supermedia Store rather than Epson cartridges. I originally just replaced the black which was out and had no problems. Later when it stopped printing altogether I went ahead and replaced the others. Now I'm getting wierd pictures where the asphalt drive way is pink and white buildings are pink.

The Epson Utility shows the colors in the right places but it hangs when I try to do any diagnositc tests.

Any ideas? I bought two sets of these ink cartridges.

How long have they been sitting since they arrived? I use the same ink http://www.supermediastore.com/epson-r20...6pack.html and am on my fourth or fifth set now. I've always had good results until this round, but it's been in a drawer for some time now. The last time I purchased ink from them I ordered three sets and this is the final set. I'm sure it's been at least a year.

I got it to go through the cleaning process and the head alignment and it appears to be working better now.

I learned to use only Epson. Ahhhh. Sweetness.

Not sweetness when you have to pay through the nose for Epson original cartridges. I have never had a problem with generics at about $2.75 each, but admittedly I'm using canon printers. Gave up on Epson.

I, too, used to be an "Epson ONLY man," but on a whim decided to try the SuperMediaStore.com cartridges for my Epson 1280 Silver printer, and I was totally shocked and surprised to find out that they worked 100% to the good.

I've been using them for the 1280, my wife's Stylus Photo 820, and my sister's R200 for more than 1 year now. I'll never go back to paying $50 or more per set for the Epson OEM 1280 cartridges when for $27.86 shipped, on sale, I scored an 8-pack, that's 4 color and 4 black cartridges, that work just perfect. I never thought I'd switch to generics after having some very bad luck with cartridges from another supplier, but the SMStore ink is just great!(tu)

I've been using ink4art cartridges for as long as I can remember and I've never had a
problem unless you call saving money a problem. I go through at least 2 six packs a year
with my 740.

It sounds like the original problem was that one of the replacement cartridges was clogged, a few cleaning cycles should clear that up.
