May BC rest in peace.

That was always funny fun stuff. I had no idea it had gone on so long.

Bummer. BC is one of the few comics I still read occasionally. No one could say so much with so few words as Hart could. RIP indeed.

That's awesome.

Damn. Died suddenly of a stroke 'at his board'. I loved that strip too.
He was never afraid of being a Christian in this politically correct world where white guys being publicly religious are automatically subject to ridicule and suspicion. This will leave a big hole in my paper.

Yeah. Thank God we have people with the good grace to publish stuff like the strip where Jesus turns a menorah into a crucifix. http://www.jdl.org/action/armchair/bc_comic.shtml Ridicule and suspicion? I don't really see a lot of comics that subject Christians or Christianists to the level of ridicule or suspicion Mr. Hart held for evolutionary biology. At least, not on the Funnies Page.

I read B.C. and The Wizard of ID from the beginning.
Very few comic strips have ever made me laugh as much as those. Almost none of today's stuff even makes me smile. |
