Congratulations ! And just what did you give HER ?

We celebrate our 25th anniversary this year. And our 19yo daughter just announced her engagement.

I wanted the notice to read "We are startled to announce", but I was overruled.

Nice set of wheels! My wife has already stated (multiple times actually) that in no way will she allow me to have a motorcycle. I guess I'll have to get a red sportscar instead, but I've got another 15 years until our 24th anniversary. She has stated that she wants to get an RV when we are older, though.

According to http://marriage.about.com/cs/anniversari...deas_3.htm the 24th anniversary gift is a musical instrument. Does the horn play a song?

Congrats!

i would have done the same thing, and then lectured her on the divorce rate of teenage marriage (in this day and age), which is huge...

Sweet! I'd finish the day off by taking the next week off and going on trip!

Nice ride, but a word of caution, remember your not invincible and that the bike has capabilities far beyond your riding skills. A sad statistic is that older folks getting back on two wheel rides are being killed and maimed at an alarming rate. We are much more likely to be hurt than the younger riders according to statistics recently quoted to me by a writer for one of the bike magazines.
Not to throw water on your parade, just a reminder to keep your wits about you and drive defensively. Lots of careless drivers on the road and you have to watch for them, because they are not watching for you.
From an older rider that got off years ago after witnessing two identical fatal accidents with motorcycles in front of my house in San Francisco on two Friday evenings in a row. Decided there was a message there for me.

Wow, way to rain on his parade tortoise...

LOL

Good advice, at least it isn't a crotch rocket.

Enjoy the gift.
