My wife wants to move from the 4gb nano to the 8gb version but is hesitant due to the inscription on the back. How have you felt about selling your personalized ipods?

Put a protective cover on it and who's to know? I forgot what my iPod looks like because I have this cool green poly skin on it. If it is a real good deal go for it.

I haven't done it, but I'd probably feel like the Apple Store's FREE engraving isn't actually free. Doubt if sentimentality would enter in, though.

is it so personal that you feel the need to scratch it out ? then do so !

It sounds like when you're trying to date someone new when you have your ex's name tattooed on your arm.

Those are worth about, what, $80 used?
Keep it/use it/re-purpose it/frame it or scrapbook it or donate it/sell it/throw it away Are there other options?

I would just scratch ou the number after "For a good time call..." and not worry about it anymore.

Maybe the person he sells it to when they take off the cover to inspect it? BGnR

What's the inscription?

As a buyer I wouldn't give it a second thought. Sell it as is. They can put a decal or whatever over it if they care. What a good wife to suggest an upgrade!
