i had an earlier thread going about whether i should distribute the 450+ digital pix that i shot on an international excursion via cd or dvd.

http://forums.macresource.com/read/1/290561

this morning i realized i can share the photos with everyone on the trip if i find a good photo sharing website that can handle 450 6mp jpegs. i have an iphoto6 album all ready to go.

anyone have first hand experience using a photo sharing web site that they would recommend?

do i have to load each pix onto the site or will they take an iphoto album?

are 450 jpegs too many for one site to host? do photo sharing sites have a limit as to the number of pix they will host?

are these pix sharing sites free or is there a fee invovled.

thanks in advance to any who care to share.

be well

clay beat me to it... just posted a bit down. I'm a big fan of Imageshack, but haven't tried the client that incognegro posted about yet.

I wasn't sure if the poster meant the pix were each 6 megabytes, or they were shot with a 6 mega pixel camera? I agree, the pix shouldn't be larger than about 200 kilobytes, and if necessary, there could be a link to a full size version.

Free and Paid accounts available to fit your needs, to get around the 20 files at a time limit you can use the FLOCK web browser to do large scale uploads.

I'm with Harbourmaster on this one.>Big Grin<...Photobucket.com is where I do a lot of sharing of my large digital collections for clients, if they want a web interface. Very inexpensive to do.(tu)

as the original poster i appreciate all who have offered their thoughts.

i went to photobucket and registered and began loading the 450 images.

what a drag!

isn't there a pix sharing website where i can drag and drop a iphoto6 album right to the site?

am i going to have to manually drag 450 images to every web pix sharing site?

jeez.

thanks for any and all thoughts

be well
