[quote sscutchen]This is a high end TV for this size. 768p, which is what you'll find in this size.
Custom I guess,
Most are 780p.

Sony 26" Bravia.
Down here they are pretty cheap, because everyone wants bigger TVs.
Looks great running out of my MacBook.
even a standard def DVD running out of the MacBook looks good.
Looks pretty lousy running the 4:3, low resolution, super highly compressed, crappy cable TV we get down here.
The inbuilt tuner is standard def only, which is a bit weird.

I got my 7ps wrong? heh.
I wanted the ability to work as a monitor. I wanted multiple HDMI. I liked the fact that it had a QAM tuner to get unscrambled digital straight from the cable. I've noticed that if I'm watching an analog cable channel that it is much better on the TVs tuner than over the cable box/hdmi link. And this year's Samsungs had better specs than last year's. No reports of clouding or bars on the screen that I saw. The AVS forum discussion typically likes the Samsung picture in comparison tests.

I bought my 4661 from Vanns because they were one of the first ones to have it in stock and they had good pricing. It went really well. They were, like $70 higher on the 2653, but when I called, they price matched.
edit... OK... that's weird. How did I get two posts rather than an edit to add the Vanns stuff?
