Some Patents are just stupid: Bose patents "surround sound" for use in Autos.

Surprised GM doesn't have it patented already. They had speakers in the seats in the old Fiero two-seater from 1984

That was the first thing that popped into my head when I read about the Bose Patent!

Just because they patent it doesn't mean that it will hold up in court. I have a feeling that if they ever get into a legal battle about that patent they will lose big time.

My friend Paul Klipsch used to say that you can get a patent for pissing with your left hand. Bose proves it very time they file....

It's a shame that many car manufacturer's have bought into the junk that is Bose. There's a reason that Bose doesn't publish specs like frequency response, etc.

Yes, Bose is junk and I will never buy anything that says Bose ever again.
I made that mistake several years ago and bought my wife a Wave radio and don't get me wrong; it sounded great for such a little box. But after 14 or so months it just stopped working and the warranty was good for 1 year. So, I called them and they said it would cost $100.00 to fix it.
