With an 23 million per contract he boots it by taking speed? Can you say Moran? His comments on MLB needing to take responsibility for roids are beyond belief. End of rant.
Warning Baseball. Giambi.

Did MLB not make a TON of extra money the summer Magwire hit 70? Did MLB not prefer the state of affairs before watchdogs started spoiling the party?
There's plenty of blame to go around.

Good...good. Kick them while they're down. I thought everyone in NYC did drugs anyway? Isn't it part of the culture? [/joke]

They can bust almost any baseball player for amphetamines easily.
New York was talking about trying to get out of Giambis' contract for a couple weeks now, but had not been able to get out of it.

Peyton Manning does drugs.

Ha. If Mrs. Manning's first name is "Drugs," then yes.

Giambi is a punk and his statements are of a typical roidhead. Claiming that steroids don't help is ridiculous because if they didn't he would not have risked that tumor for nothing. Roids help recovery time, work out longer, increase bat speed. While steroids were not specifically banned by MLB the CBA does state that players could not use illegal drugs. That includes cocaine, crack and steroids. Kick the bum out.

If the major leagues would start kicking these lowlifes out, this wouldn't be a problem - the almighty dollar seems to be the only winner here -

Baseball doesn't have the guts or the power to do anything. Then Congress will step in and they will get worked over and the Union will not be able to cover for players anymore. Not that they have anything better to do right?

pRON, as much as I love you, nothing that you are saying here is true. There aren't any studies that prove any of that. No one is going to feed anyone steroids to measure it's effects. I'm sure more that half of baseball used "performance enhancing drugs" to some extent which didn't seem to help much at all. But we wouldn't even know that without proper studies.
MLB and the federal government have broken more laws than the players have through deliberate leaks and unnecessary litigation (hearing etc.) which is far more sinister than what an athelete does on a field.
