Looks like a great deal especially if you Amazon doesn't collect taxes for your location.

Considering Amazon is usually tax free--It looks like a good deal.
I have had issues with SlingBox on mine--so I am using my Buffalo till I have time to sort it out.

I ordered one, and for a reason undiscernable to me, I got a $8.40 promo
applied to the price, so I'm getting the Airport Extreme 802.11n for $159.58 with free shipping and no sales tax!

I just verified what John Dough says: http://www.amazon.com/computer-pc-hardwa...63?ie=UTF8&node=541966
Yowza! Thanks Amazon!

$167 is only $10 off?
05-24-2007, 04:06 AM
Well, I got $20 off including the promo, plus no sales tax or shipping costs
on a $179 product. It's tough to find bargains on Apple peripherals since they control their pricing so tightly, unless you buy a refurb or an older product. That was enough to sway me into getting it sooner than later.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LIFB7S/ref=...on-ce00-20&creative=380333&creativeASIN=B000LIFB7S&linkCode=asn From that link: "5 of 10 people found the following review helpful: Intel Mac users beware!, April 12, 2007 By Gregory Glockner (San Francisco, CA United States) - See all my reviews Intel Macs running the current version of Mac OS X (10.4.9) are incompatible with this router. The configuration page does not render properly on any of my three Macs, regardless of whether they use a wired or wireless connection. And with the latest AirPort firmware on the MacBook, the WPA settings cause a system crash (kernel panic). D-Link technical support was no help. I sent them an email with a screen shot from Safari and Firefox, and they responded: "You shoudl [sic] be able to do it with safari. Can you try it in another environment?" So they didn't properly answer my question, and they never responded to my two follow-up emails. Zero stars for tech support! The reason I'm giving this product two stars is that it did work properly with my Windows computers. But Intel Mac users should look elsewhere. I did. " Given that I have a MacPro, that doesn't sound very appealing. |
