I just hope he didn't try to drive himself home.

As of that writing, the guy was still awake.

11 days seems fairly impressive as far as I'm concerned, but I bet he wasn't accomplishing much other than staying awake (even blogging was too much work). There oughta be a record for time awake while leading one's normal life.

In the service I once did two days. Sheer torture.

For me it seems amazingly high. I think the longes I've gone without is 5 days, and that about fried my brain. And that was when I was much younger.

Now that I'm almost 50, I don't even seem to be able to pull a full all-nighter any more (Last one was five years ago).

Dammit! I'd have the record if it weren't for those 2 twenty minute catnaps!

I've done about 4 and 1/2 days.
Fried brain is right.
Practically robotic capability only.
I've done 2 and 1/2, 8 hours sleep, then 2 and 1/2 again. Youth ( a long time ago)

I've done a few 36 hours lately.
Even I don't want to be around me after about 28 hours.

Eleven days is a fantastically long time to go without sleep. Very dangerous to do.
