It was boring.
I thought it would be loud, or claustrophobic, but it was just kinda boring.
The only issue was that, at one dramatic point, my nose itched. Just a bit. On the left side. After three minutes, I could scratch it.
See? Boring. :-)

[quote $tevie]WHY oh why is
anything scheduled for 4:30 in the morning? I would have to stay up all night to make that!
It's called the wonders of socialized medicine.

post photos!
A friend of mine had an MRI and made a pitstop home to copy the CD. (I don't remember why he was the messenger.) He can now view his own broken vertebrae in glorious 3D.
Anyway, its cool to have your own high res medical images - particularly if you really "earned" the MRI.

I hate CT scans 'with contrast'. All of a sudden you feel like you've been dipped in a deep fryer.
I'll never, ever, ever get an MRI. I have a stainless steel / titanium plate and screws and whatnot holding my shoulder together. Imaging for me is strictly old school.

I was listening to a Penn Jillette podcast where one of his guests was talking about Sylvia Brown milking bank accounts with her fake "psychic powers".
He said that while on Montel's show, somebody complained about stomach pain after having several surgeries.
Dr. Sylvia said "there was a medical intrument left inside you after one operation. Get an MRI."
