Is anyone else experiencing problems receiving email from their .Mac account? Last message I received from that account was last Friday. Just noticed the lack of activity and sent test messages from several other accounts and nothing ever shows up on the apple mail servers, also logging on to web account and trying to send an email only results in unable to send at this time. This is really disturbing as the reason I pay for this is to have a stable email account I can rely on to get through. I noticed it because OWC order replies go to my .Mac email and recent order was never acknowledged.

working fine here. .Mac says there have been some outages for around an hour for the last couple of days.
Maybe check your mail settings?

No problems here. Did you check the .Mac page? It indicates that there were some problems yesterday and the day before. In general though, I find .Mac mail to be very reliable. Nothing's perfect.

The one problem I have with it is that a single user from gmail will never get through. Other people from Gmail do, but this one user's email to me stays in webmail and is never delivered to Mail.app.
Multiple computers, same thing.
It always stays on the site at DotMac - so I have to use webmail to get it, but otherwise, it's working. I've never had it go down for longer than an hour or so over the past few years.

Thanks Don, I have also sent several test messages to clients that use .Mac and they received them with no problem so it seems to only be a problem with my account and I have sent troubleshooting ticket to .Mac support, which means up to 48 hours for reply. Yes nothings perfect but after paying for this service since its inception as a paid service many years ago I have to say I have several email accounts and it is disappointing to find the Apple account to be the one with the most problems and reliability issues. I am in business and when clients can’t reach me I lose money. Reflects poorly on Apple in my opinion. Giving serious thought to changing over to Gmail free account if reliability continues to be a problem, why pay for crap service when better service is available for free.

So I'd say it's you, not me.
