Issues with MacBook track pad

I have had this problem with my black MB from day one. Every so often I lose the cursor. I have to kind of rub the track pad quickly back and forth to make the cursor appear. Problem is it is one of those things that is hard to duplicate at will.

Mine does the same thing. I notice it a lot in mail when I highlight about 10 or more junk messages to delete, the cursor just disappears for a while. After a couple of seconds it reappears and I can click the delete icon.

There was discussion about this either here or Apple discussions, no resolutions though.

It's like the cursor disappears when the processor is working hard. I thought 10.5.1 would cure it but nooooooooo.

Are you sure you're not confusing what you see with automatic cursor hiding? The latter is a feature, not a bug.
