Nearly 12 Years Old, ‘Rent’ Is to Close

. . .That’s how you measure the total running time “Rent” will have played on Broadway when, as the producers said on Tuesday, it closes after its evening performance on June 1, making it the seventh-longest-running Broadway show in history. . .

MISSING LINK to the full story of the end of this broadway musical. . .

NEwton,

Too bad. I saw Rent a month or so ago and enjoyed it immensely. Definitely not the typical Broadway musical. Let's just say my dad hated it because of the music, the storyline and some of the subject matter.

. . .there is always the movie version which had many of the originals as cast members but sometimes LIVE performances can't be beat. . .they were also one of the shows that gave cheap student seats. . .
